Tumbling Performance

Sierra had her first big performance for her tumbling class last night.  To say she was excited doesn't begin to describe how excited she truly was.  Here she is with her buddies Norah on the left and Rosie on the right.  Three little blondes who get along great.

 These pictures were taken during the rehearsal Friday night.  They allowed no cameras or video taping during the actual performance.  That worked out great in my opinion.  I was a 'mom' helper the performance night with my friend Carol so we were entertaining this group while they waited their turn.

 They tumbling class was different from any other group.  They do more gymnastic type stunts than a dance.  They came out to "Hi Ho" from Snowhite rolling their arms and marching.

They started off with stretches, jumping jacks, and burpies (which is them making themselves into a ball and then jumping up)

 Then they did two somersaults finishing each thing with "tada" as their teacher taught them.

Next she walked the balance beam.  Sierra talked with the teacher the whole time she walked, liking more the attention she was getting than what she was actually doing.  She cracks me up how much she likes one on one attention but its sweet too.

 The last thing was swinging and lifting on the bar, but I never got a good shot of it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sierra did a wonderful job and had a blast.  I was proud of her.  My first mommy moment with my daughter doing a performance.  More to come down the road I know...sweet moments.  Here she is with Daddy super happy about her flower he gave her for her performance.  The whole way out to the car she kept commenting how it was her first flower and how she has never gotten one before.  Special just from her Daddy.

 Both sets of grandparents came to the performance.  The perk of being in town again.  Papa and Gigi had a work Christmas Party to get to but we were thankful that both were able to come, thank you!
