Happy 1s Birthday Precious Boy, Wyatt
We
were blessed having you come into our lives and now you are turning one. You came 5 days late but hard and fast on a
Wednesday night August 21st at 8:46pm. We were surprised at your 8lb 5oz. and 21 ½
in. long. The next morning we made sure your big sister was the first to meet
you followed by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandparents and
friends.
As
I think back over the last year here are some of the big mile markers that come
to mind. You experienced one of the
coldest winters on record here in Tennessee but with very little snow. At 2 ½ months you spiked a fever of 102.4 and
had to be taken to Vanderbilt. Thankfully
all the tests turned out ok but it sure gave us a scare. You hit your first road trip down to Southern
GA for Thanksgiving at 3 months old meeting 30 relatives. Then at 6 months you took your first plane
ride to San Angelo, TX to visit friends where your parents and sister use to
live.
Here
are lots of the fun milestones from your first year: you were a serious observer when you were
first born and by 4 weeks we swore we had you smiling at us. You had a lot of ups and downs with sleeping
through the night up till 9 months or so.
At 3 months we heard your true giggles.
At 4 months you were rolling over some and by 5 months you were sitting
up on your own. You also loved making
raspberry noises at this time and it didn’t stop. Started using a sippy cup at 6 months. At 7 months you were feeding yourself finger
foods. You also started waving
‘hi’. This endearment was something,
especially around 11 months you did constantly during dinner time to your
Daddy. 9 months you were crawling and
often keeping one leg up on the side. It never stopped you from going fast
everywhere. You loved turning circles while sitting on your bottom. You got especially attached to your mama and
if I was in the room you wanted no one else holding you. At 10 months you were pulling up on
things. You spent a lot of time at the
pool over the summer and by 11 months you were swimming on your belly like a
frog with help from mom or dad. Cutest
thing ever! At 10 months you were also
giving “high fives” and doing “so big!”
At 11 months Sierra taught you how to play hide and seek with her and
you both loved it! You and Sierra are true buddies and really enjoy each other.
You also like getting into the toilet
water and pulling toilet paper in and out wet so we had to keep the doors
shut. You started baby signs and are
taking to them quickly. You have the best hugs to your stuffed puppy and love
your blue blankie and paci.
You
are an even keel baby who always has a big smile for whoever you meet. I love your snuggles, precious smile, love
for others, easy going personality, love for life, keeping me on my toes for
what you’ll do next and calmness when outside. So blessed am I to be your mama,
eternally grateful that God gave me wonderful you! Life is sweeter with you in it. Happy 1st Birthday my precious
Wyatt Jonathan Uttz. I love you with all
my heart and always will.
Your
Mama
xoxo
