Our Princess Turns 4
I
cannot believe you are four today! We love seeing the little lady you are
growing into. You have had lots of new first time experiences this past year. We
moved back into our house that you were born in on Lydia Court. You love getting to go to the pool and
playground by our house. You want to be
out playing with the big kids (Leslie Chloe, McClain, and Brooklyn) on our
cul-de-sac whenever you can.
One
of the biggest changes to your life was that your baby brother, Wyatt was born. You are the best big sister to him. His face lights up every time you walk into
the room. You are so loving and helpful with him as well. You guys are best buds.
Some
other first time experiences was going to Preschool at KTOK twice a week. You love your teacher Mrs. Michelle. You took your first swim lessons on your own
with Mrs. Sue in the summer and did a great job. You also have taken a Mommy and Me tumbling
class with friends Norah and Rosie. Ms.
Millie was your teacher and you got to do your very first tumbling performance
at Christmas time. You also had your
first Christmas Performance at your preschool and sang songs with your
class. In February you got to go to your
first Daddy Daughter Ball with Daddy.
You said he was your prince. J You went
to your first dentist appointment and didn’t cry but didn’t want them cleaning
your teeth either.
This
year we did two different trips. In
November we drove down to Waycross, GA to spend Thanksgiving with Mommy’s side
of the family. You loved all the attention and time with
family. In February we flew back to
Texas to visit our old friends. You
loved getting to spend time with Addi and Gracie and even now ask to go
back.
So
many things you have enjoyed doing this past year. You have gotten really fast on your big
wheel. You can completely dress yourself
from head to toe and love doing it, often multiple times a day. You can now button buttons too. You love to take showers often over a
bath. You started chores like making
your bed, silverware and putting away clean laundry. You still love to pretend play and are so
imaginative in what you do. This year
you have truly started picking your own friends and it’s been neat to your
friendships blossom. You love Sydney,
Caroline, Ava, Rosie and Norah. Your vocabulary has increased tremendously. You are now counting regularly and writing
some of your letters. As you are
learning who you are there is often a lot of testing of us but you are learning
the boundaries of life. You still prefer
a night light and need your nap. You
love reading Arthur, Bernstein Bears, and Dora.
You enjoy watching Daniel Tiger, Strawberry Shortcake, and Curious
George. Some fun things you’ve said this
past year: No way, I’m nervous, this is cozy, “Silly boy” to Daddy, delicious,
and in a couple of whiles. You question
everything often with “why” and are learning so much. Happy Birthday to my beautiful, helpful,
imaginative, loving, always testing, creative, social, precious Sweetheart,
Sierra. I love you with all of my heart.
Always
yours, Mommy
