Grand Old Opry

Last night Jonathan and I got to go to with our good friends and neighbors to the Grand Old Opry.  I have been there before for  Norah Jones concert and plays for school field trips but never for an actual Opry production.  It was a neat experience.  Sadly we had bought the tickets for our cousins Jeff, Lisa, and Gabby who were coming in from CA for the week but Jeff broke his ankle in softball and had to have surgery so they couldn't make it.  The production is neat because it is broken into four 30 min. segments.  They have old and new members of the Grand Old Opry sing and host.  There was even a comedian last night  during the second segment that was really funny.  The Band Perry (top left) sang in the third segment and was my favorite performance of the night.  They had a lot of fun energy.  Carrie Underwood (top right) was last and did a great job as well.  There was a newer couple called Striking Matches that sang earlier on and did a great job.  They were both wonderful guitarists.  Going to this production really does give you a feel of tradition, history, and love for music.  Hopefully we can take our cousins another time soon.
