As you can see our 4th of July this year was quite rainy, in fact there was a steady rain until about 7pm that night. So we took advantage of the summer "movie program" and went and saw Rio with Daddy since he was off.
It was Sierra's first "real" experience in the movie theater and she was very excited. Every Thursday this summer they are showing a kids movie at 10am. For $4.00 you get into the movie and get a small drink, popcorn, and fruit snacks. Pretty sweet deal in my opinion.
Sierra did good. She was a little restless towards the end but going to a kid filled movie made it perfect for her to still watch and stand up. But afterward I think her favorite part was going down front to the open area and dancing with other kids to the credit songs at the end. She really got into it! She had other parents laughing at her shaking dance with her bottom out on the right. Not sure where she learned that one.

As we said the rain did taper off for the most part in the evening so we got to go out and enjoy fireworks being put off by our neighbors. Sierra got to take lots of golf cart rides with our neighbor Leslie and her Aunt Sherrie that was in town. She did pretty good with the fireworks being so loud too. I honestly think being home in her environment helped with that. Plus when it started raining again we could sit in the garage and still watch.
Our next door neighbors David and Stacey came over first and did a BBQ dinner with all the fixings with us first. A nice relaxing neighborhood 4th of July. Perfect for us this year.
